| Effects and benefits of the Aqua Select Plus® filter cartridge MultiMax
Household water filters treat drinking water supplied by public water mains. The aim is for them to reduce water hardness and any contaminations caused by the domestic water piping.
The fine meshed first filter consists of a fibrous web that prevents the next smallest solid particles, for example dust, from entering the cartridge. |
The ion exchangers (white pearls) on the inside of the filter remove substances that are dissolved in the drinking water, for example lime and lead. They do so by attaching the calcium or lead ions to themselves and substituting them for hydrogen ions. |
Activated carbon (black grains) is very porous and consequently has a large surface. In this structure, chlorine and organic substances that disturb flavour and smell are filtered and absorbed. |
The fine meshed re-filter prevents the filtered water from clouding thanks to fine particles of activated carbon. |
The result is up to 180 litres of freshly filtered water with a natural flavour, with a reduced lime and chlorine content and lowered levels of lead, cadmium, zinc, copper etc. that may have been released from domestic water piping.
All materials used for MultiMax filter cartridges have been tested and have of course been checked for their adequacy to be used in nutrition-related contexts according to the European Union’s norms. This is also valid for the result of the cartridge’s performance.
The independent inspection authority TÜV Rheinland has certified the high quality of Aqua Select Plus® filter cartridges. The TÜV’s test mark documents the extraordinary care taken in the production of the filter cartridges. They are food safe and regularly monitored.
Without usage of nonpolluting procedures, Aqua Select Plus® cartridges are being sterilised during production.
